Physicians

All of our physicians are specialists in pain management who use proven medications and procedures in the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients who suffer from pain syndromes. We focus on all aspects of relief, easing discomfort while also addressing the emotional and social issues that can accompany pain.

RAMA LETCHUMAN, MD

Dr. Rama Letchuman completed his High School in Brisbane, Queensland and received his Undergraduate Degree from the University of Queensland, Australia. He completed a Master of Science Degree at Washington University in St. Louis. He then studied at the University of Missouri-School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri where he graduated with a Doctor of Medicine Degree with honors. He completed his Internship at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics. Subsequently he went on to do his Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Rochester, Minnesota. He further specialized in the field of Interventional Pain Management by completing a Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

He is a member of the Shreveport Medical Society, Louisiana State Medical Society, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is double Board Certified in both Physical Medicine and Pain Medicine.

Dr. Letchuman is an Interventional Pain Management specialist whose interests include Evaluation and Management of Spinal and Peripheral Musculoskeletal Disorders.

He performs the full spectrum of Fluoroscopic Guided Interventional Pain Management Procedures, Spinal and Peripheral Injections, Radiofrequency Rhizotomies, Spinal Cord Stimulator Procedures and Discograms.

Dr. Letchuman moved to Shreveport, Louisiana to join the Musculoskeletal Institute of Louisiana in 2005. He lives with his wife, Santhi, and 4 sons.

KATHLEEN MAJORS, MD

Since joining the Pain Care Consultants of Specialists Hospital of Louisiana in 1995, Dr. Kathleen K. Majors has provided patients with experience and expertise to help relieve and manage pain symptoms and facilitate rehabilitation and recovery.

MATTHEW MOSURA, MD

Dr. Matthew Mosura completed his medical school training at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport. He then completed his Anesthesiology residency training at the Texas Medical Center through the University of Texas in Houston, and his Pain Management training at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Mosura is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management.

Dr. Mosura has been a member of the Shreveport-Bossier medical community in full time clinical practice since 2007. Dr. Mosura prefers a multi-modal approach to pain management tailored to each individual patient with the goal of less pain, functional improvement, and better quality of life. This may include the use of non-surgical procedures, physical and occupational therapies, psychological therapies, spiritual therapies, and medication management. Common conditions treated by Dr. Mosura include back pain, neck pain, sciatic pain, arthritis pain, herniated disc pain, nerve pain, neuropathies, and cancer pain to name only a few.

When not in the clinic caring for patients, Dr. Mosura enjoys being outdoors with his friends and family. He is also a member and Deacon at First Baptist of Bossier City.

ROSS NELSON, MD

Since joining the Pain Care Consultants of Specialists Hospital of Louisiana in 2000, Dr. Ross Nelson has provided patients with experience and expertise to help relieve and manage pain symptoms and facilitate rehabilitation and recovery.

During his fellowship, Dr. Nelson specialized in interventional spine techniques, which seek to diagnose and treat chronic spine pain by applying cutting edge technology and research. These minimally invasive procedures often result in effective relief for back and neck discomfort.
